On the way, we can explore beautiful Saxon villages such as Biertan or Alma Vii, home to impressive fortified churches and peaceful countryside landscapes. If you enjoy nature, a short hike along the Via Transilvanica trail offers panoramic views of the Transylvanian Highlands. The experience can end perfectly with a local lunch in a traditional village guesthouse, tasting authentic Transylvanian flavors.
Often described as one of the most spectacular roads in the world, the Transfăgărășan Highway is an unforgettable mountain adventure. Winding through the Carpathian Mountains, the road climbs dramatically to Bâlea Lake, a stunning glacial lake at an elevation of over 2,000 meters (around 8.000ft).
