We begin our culinary adventure with a stop at a local deli, where you’ll sample artisanal cheeses, smoked meats, and fresh delicacies. All are crafted with love, tradition, and seasonal ingredients. 

Next, we head to the heart of Sibiu’s food scene: the lively Cibin Farmers’ Market. Here, you’ll get a real feel of how Sibiu eats, cooks, and lives. This vibrant market reflects the multicultural soul of Transylvania—a blend of Romanian, Saxon, Hungarian, and Balkan influences.

Just outside the market, we stop for a true street food classic: “mici” with mustard, grilled to perfection. These juicy, spiced meat rolls are a beloved local favorite — best enjoyed hot, standing up, and surrounded by stories.

To sweeten the experience, we step into a family-run bakery, where you’ll meet the warm-hearted Saxon owner and hear about her family’s traditions. You’ll enjoy freshly baked seasonal cake, and even receive a small gift to take with you — a treat you simply wouldn’t get by walking in alone.

Optional but highly recommended: for wine lovers, the evening can conclude at a cozy wine bar. A Transylvanian wine tasting pairs perfectly with local cheeses, cured meats, and engaging conversation.
