A scenic mountain hike above the clouds — where silence, alpine meadows, and panoramic views guide your steps through the Cindrel Mountains.
This hiking experience in Paltinis Mountain Resort takes you through beautiful pine forests and panoramic trails in the Cindrel Mountains, one of the most scenic mountain areas near Sibiu.
Join us on a scenic mountain hike starting from Păltiniș, the first mountain and ski resort in Romania, founded at the end of the 19th century. Located in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, Păltiniș has long been famous for its fresh, clean air and alpine atmosphere.
Our trail begins with a peaceful ascent through a dense pine forest, offering shade, serenity, and moments of deep connection with nature. As we climb higher towards Găujoara and Bătrâna Peak, the forest opens up to alpine meadows rich in biodiversity. It leads to panoramic views over the surrounding mountains and valleys.
